AMAZE ME Return With New Album ‘Guilty As Sin’
FollowIt’s confirmed. Swedish AOR sensations Amaze Me have returned with a vengeance. Entitled “Guilty As Sin”, their new album is brimming with 12 storming tracks, penned exclusively at song writer Peter Broman’s own studio, and it’s going down great guns throughout the AOR world.
Originally a duo of lead vocalist Conny Lind and song writer and multi-talented instrumentalist Broman, Amaze Me released three albums in the 1990’s including 1997’s “Dream On”, which was considered by many underground AOR aficionados as a ‘to-die-for’ highlight of any collection.
The band was celebrated by AOR Heaven’s ‘Classix Series’ in 2012, with the ‘Ultimate Collection’, so it seems only natural that the band should return to that label for new material this year.
Amaze Me started out with a self-titled debut album for the Japanese based Alfa Brunette label in 1995. Then, rumours of that Japanese release led to the boys landing a deal with the Now And Then label, who released the second album ”Dream On” in 1997…. Whilst the boys themselves followed that with album No.3 (“Wonderland”), (which emerged onto the scene via Z Records in 1998), and which was itself then followed by the Z Records re-issue of the “Amaze Me” debut worldwide, the first time it had been available in Europe.
Amaze Me is basically Broman handling all song-writing, instrumental, and production duties and Lind doing all lead vocals…. And when you consider that Lind has previously sung with Great King Rat, Alex Masi, and Lars Eric Mattson’s Vision project amongst others, whilst Broman is well known as a song-writer for many different genres all over the world (leading to chart positions world-wide on Billboard, the Asian and European hit lists and music, radio and TV commercials), it’s not surprising that AOR ‘watchers’ are now crawling over each other to hear the new material as soon as possible…
“Guilty As Sin” was recorded in Broman’s own studio and mastered by Martin Kronlund.
