Joanna Dean – Misbehavin’

Originally released back in 1988 this album was remastered and re-released on July 27th 2012 by Yesterrock Records.

Joanna Dean Jacobs, hailing from the American state of Georgia, has a powerful voice probably best described as a cross between Janis Joplin, Bonnie Tyler and Doro Pesch, a voice which was once described as capable of shaking the very tallest of buildings.

She plays a brand of southern bluesy rock, which a bit of attitude and sometimes a bit cheeky. “Ready For Saturday Night” is a very American style 80’s party rock song. “Once Is Enough” is a good, reflective ballad. “Dirty Fingers” has a great little rhythm to it and has some good riffing to boot. “Burning Rubber” is a good rock song, while “Kiss This”, another good party song, gets very stuck in your head very quickly.

All in all this is a good album which I think this will appeal to fans of Bonnie Raitt, Doro, and Lita Ford.

Verdict: 7/10. Like the other Yesterrock re-releases the original copy of this album is very difficult to get hold of, so many will be thanking Yesterrock again formaking it possible for them to get a copy.
